On my trip to Colorado, i was able to visit the world famous Moffat tunnel, This was Amtrak #6, the California zephyr, from Chicago to California. Although i was lucky, i would not recommend visiting this spot, as there are cameras everywhere, and they are linked to homeland security, the hotel resort bis not that open to rail-fans, and has asked people to leave. don't visit either portal, the railfanning is not that good anyways (5-15 trains a day).
