Brightline opened in February earlier in 2018. The system ran between ft.lauderdale and west palm beach. Miami Central opened for business on May 19th 2018 and I was on the first ever northbound train out of Miami. Bright red had the honors of starting the inaugural run from Miami to west palm. Brightline had a lot of festivities including live music at the Miami Central Station to celebrate the new station and the completion of phase 1 of the Brightline project.
